I create individualized programs for children from pre-K through grade 6.
Your student’s experience includes:
- an introductory consultation with you and your student
- fun and engaging learning sessions
- optional personalized home assignments & long-term projects
- weekly communication with parents regarding progress and areas for continued growth
- recommendations for classroom modifications to discuss with your children’s teachers
While I specialize in math, I enjoy developing curriculum in the subject or subjects of your choice, too. Instructional time can help students meet academic requirements or provide the opportunity to go deeper where students already have mastery.
Small group program: Math club for girls
I create a supportive community where girls discover how interesting and exciting math can be. Instructional strategies include questioning, collaborative problem solving, hands-on experimentation, mathematical games, puzzles, and coaching.
My objective: To foster and nurture girls’ interest in mathematics and empower them to attempt any problem no matter the mathematical level.
Getting started together
I am now enrolling students for individual and small group tutoring. Steady development is best supported by one to two sessions per week, but I am willing to consider more flexible schedules if that is what best serves your family.
One-hour individual tutoring sessions are $95, or you can schedule two children at the same time for $135. Basic materials like paper and Internet access are included. Some more complex projects may incur additional charges for materials.
Sessions take place in my home teaching studio in Lake Forest Park. Occasionally, sessions can be scheduled at a study room library.
